We worked with Emily on renovating our whole house, including completely redone bathrooms and kitchen, built-in bookshelves, custom cabinetry and storage, kid's, master, and guest bedrooms, lighting, and furniture and art selection. She helped us make perfect use of the modestly-sized spaces, and months later we still walk around and comment on how happy everything makes us. We always felt like she was listening to what we really wanted and everything about the place just feels so perfect for us. We also felt like we were in very safe hands, and she would tell us honestly if any of our ideas were just not going to work how we imagined. She nudged us just enough out of our comfort zone to make some choices that weren't obvious too us at first, but worked out great. I'd recommend Design Librarian highly for any scale of project you are considering.

Emily is one of the most creative designers I know. Her sense of a space and wonderfully inventive solutions are really amazing. She keeps an eye on the bottom line and does a great job of communicating all the issues that invariably come up on a project. Her sometimes quirky selections always come together in the end, like she can see things other people can’t. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

So many times, designers have plans that look like every other designer. Emily's vision is unique yet incorporates the client's vision. I love that she uses new, old, antique, designer and found objects to create a space that reflects an elevated version of the clients ideas.

We used the Design Librarian for our Halloween gala at the Collingswood Grand Ballroom and she turned a single-room wedding venue into 7 distinct spaces by coordinating with our decor specialist complete with opulent table settings, lighting, flowers, props, and more. The 3D renderings of the space helped contextualize the concept and make it tangible within the space and building confines. It was nothing short of magnificent! Highly recommend! Can’t wait to work with her again.
